Koi Paper-Cut by BlueMidna Koi Paper-Cut by BlueMidna
Been a while since I've done any paper cutting. Started this one just to pass the weekend but I quite like how it turned out. May start doing a lot more of these when I have time over the summer, maybe some larger scale ones or more complicated designs like bird feathers and such.

I really like how the design is complex but the lines all look smooth and you followed through on all the corners.

I've been thinking of tryign to get into this kind of paper cutting or give it a try, finding how to do the design and pull it off is hard

Your paper cutting has always been so smooth, and well excetcuted. I love the character the look of the lily pads have, and everything is pulled off without looking rough and messy. The flow of the Koi's is so pleasing to look at, their fins fanning out and their scales. The whole thing if effective agaisnt the water lines and the flowers and pads in the corners. I love the home symbol ;D

I cant wait to take it home :3

Also the colour of the paper is awesome. I cant really find anything to critisize at all.

I'm just glad the lilly pads didn't turn out like orange segments.. xD

Mmm... orange segments...

If they did turn out looking like that then just think of it as Koi's swimming in your orange drink XD
