Ok so basically i'll be starting a 2D animation project next week and I was wondering if any of you could possibly give me any pointers on hand drawn animations e.g any techniques, programs or tutorials that maybe useful for me to look into.

Also I'm really wanting to go into 3D animation in the future so I've started out by using the free program Blender to try my hand at 3D animating programs. But I'm unfortunately finding it very difficult to use. So I'm wondering if any of you have experience in 3D animation or know of some good tutorials or other programs I could try out. Also if any of you could maybe recommend good university courses that teach animating, concept art or illustration since i'll be making my choices for going to uni in England soon.

Any advice you could give me at all would be highly appreciated~

Yup I finally got the Macbook I wanted, and it was definitely well worth the wait. Thank you =Zafiara For recommending one! ^^

Now that I can work in my room rather than sharing the reeeeally old computer upstairs, I should be able to get so much more artwork finished. (Including all those requests I was given ages back... ._.)

While my laptop was broken and the house computer screen decided to die, I went back to working in traditional medias I haven't used in ages like water colors. I seriously forgot how fun those are to use. XD
So now part of my wall is starting to fill up with various sketches and paintings I could rework into finished pieces. (If I can be bothered)

And for anyone thinking of getting themselves a new laptop, I'd more than suggest a MacBook Pro, They're absolutely brilliant. A little confusing at first but you soon get used to how things work. I love the fact that just about everything can be done on the touch pad. Just by moving my fingers across it I can; scroll up and down, side to side, make things bigger or smaller, rotate things, bring up all the programs I'm currently using and separate all the windows so that I can find ones that have gotten buried under others.
That and I can change songs and play/pause music without having to open my iTunes window because the buttons for it are on the keyboard.

Ok I guess that's enough of a rant about the Mac... Oh and did I mention that it senses how dark the room is and adjusts the screen brightness so that its easier on your eyes? And the keyboard also lights up so you can see where you typing. 8D

Yup, my summer break offically started yesterday. Unfortunatly I just found out that my laptop has no hope of being fixed... ._.

1...2...3... RANT!
I don't know exsactly what's wrong with it but somthing important inside has burnt out and can't be replaced. I'm so thankful that I still have this house computer to use, even though it's really old and has fail internet connection it's better than nothing. But still... Having just spent £750 on a Cintiq and not being allowed to install it on this computer is such a pain...

Why is it soooo painful to just see the Cintiq sat there in it's box...? D8

Oh dear, this journals just turning into one big rant since there's no one on msn right now... ._.

Looks like it's finally time to properly get a job and earn some moneys for a new laptop since my birthday and Christmas are so far off. Only problem is I have no idea what's a good laptop and what isn't. o.o;

If only one can suggest a good laptop used for art and design and which will take a Cintiq 12wx being installed on it, please say; It would be very helpful and highly appreciated.
